We are dedicated to:

• Creating a safe and supportive environment for all children. 

• Protecting children from maltreatment.

• Preventing impairment of children's mental and physical health or development. 

• Ensuring all staff members undergo thorough background checks and are appropriately trained in safeguarding procedures, to school standards. 

• Fostering open communication between our staff, parents, and schools to address any concerns promptly.

• Implementing safeguarding measures in line with national and local regulations and guidelines.

Staff Training and Recruitment

• Recognizing signs of abuse and neglect.

• Staff hold an up to date safeguarding qualification, with yearly renewals. 

• Enhanced, full DBS with an aim of yearly renewals. 

• Sharing all policies and procedures with each staff member. 

• Thoroughly vetting staff for selection. 

• Renewal and updates on safeguarding training yearly, and refreshing when appropriate. 

• Appropriate behaviour and boundaries when interacting with students.

• Safeguarding policies and procedures, including reporting protocols.

 

Child Protection Policies

Our child protection policies include:

• Guidelines for appropriate and safe physical contact between staff and students.

• Protocols for addressing and reporting concerns related to child welfare.

• Procedures for managing sensitive information related to child protection issues.

 

Reporting and Response

We have clear reporting and response procedures in place:

• Designated Safeguarding Officers, who is to take responsibility for successfully implementing procedures. 

• Any concerns or incidents are reported immediately to the designated safeguarding officer.

• We collaborate closely with the school's designated safeguarding lead to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection.

• We follow up on all reported concerns and take appropriate action in compliance with statutory guidelines.

 

Resources and Support

We provide resources and support for:

• Students in need of additional support or guidance.

• Parents seeking information and guidance on safeguarding issues.
